At
the heart of any good safety program is quality training. Recent
changes in industry standards require all employers to train their
people on the equipment and machines those employees are using.
Additionally, OSHA and ASME have many regulations concerning inspection
and maintenance of rigging equipment, hoists and safety.
Olsen has been the leader in customized, end-user training for
years and has helped hundreds of companies develop and strengthen
their safety, compliance and training programs. Our training program
can also help your company meet OSHA’s competent person
requirement defined in CFR 1910.184(d).
Training costs are based on the location and length of the class,
the topics being covered and the number of students. Our training
program has always been well-received and we’ve been invited
back to our customer’s facilities again and again.
The following is a list of some of the topics we teach –
any one of them can be made into a class all by itself or can
be combined with other topics to create a customized program for
your people. Our aim is to use your employee’s time well
and give them useful information.
Class topics include:
OSHA required daily inspection criteria for rigging and hardware
Chain, wire rope and synthetics
OSHA inspection documentation requirements
Chainfall inspection
Safe rigging practices
